Willoughby Croft has been working hard to improve our herd. We have entered our goats in both live and virtual shows and our they are becoming more and more competitive. Harvey actually won Grand Champion in the Fall 2020 Show we had 4 goats earn ribbons in a live show in 2021. We've had others place consistently well. Showing goats is a lot of fun and really helps you get an eye for good conformation, which you need in order to select which goats to retain to improve your herd.

We also began Milk Testing our does in 2021. We know we have quite a few does who can earn their stars. It's time to prove it and get those stars on paper. Having milk stars in their pedigree is another way to show which goats have the best potential of producing offspring with similar qualities.

As we work to improve the goats we offer for sale, we'd like to encourage our buyers to also participate in showing and milk testing. Starting on Jan. 1st, 2021 we will offer the following cash incentives for ANY GOAT CARRYING THE WILLOUGHBY CROFT HERD NAME (whether purchased from us or not) who participates in an MDGA sanctioned show (virtual or live), places in an MDGA sanctioned show (virtual or live) or earns their milk star through milk testing with MDGA. Stars, wins, and participation will need to be verified. Rewards will be as follows:

Milk Testing

Doe who earns her milk star with MDGA, whether via one day test or another form of testing: $40

Showing in an MDGA sanctioned show (whether virtual or live). 

Grand Champion - $20 (one award per show, per goat)

Reserve Champion - $10 (one award per show, per goat)

Best In Show - $20

Best Udder in Show - $20

Participation -$10 (per show, not per class. Hint: this will pay for one VShow entry.)
